Meet Gershon
Meet Gershon.
"I was born just after the war. Two years later, my father left us.
"I can still remember the first time I came to this synagogue. It was Yom Kippur, 1952. My grandfather brought me. I was only eight years old. The place was packed. There must have been over 300 people."
"Tell me," Gershon says. "Will you be back here for Chanuka?"
"I'm not sure," I responded, kind of caught off guard. "Why do you ask?"
"I was wondering if you could bring me a book about hockey. I love sports."
