SPECIAL NEEDS SERVICES
Our vision is to provide ample financial, emotional and physical relief to underserved children with disabilities and their families.
Our newest initiative will provide children with disabilities with enriching after-hours care, high-quality therapy, and a yearly retreat and summer camp, helping children gain independence, strengthen self-confidence, and enjoy many of the same opportunities as their peers.
Their parents will receive the education, emotional support, financial assistance, and respite that they so greatly need.
Many children with disabilities and their families in Russia experience isolation, loneliness, shame—and woefully inadequate support and resources.
As of Fall 2022, construction is well underway for a fully-equipped center with therapy rooms, a social hall, gym, playground, and aquatic center, with a respite overnight suite where all services will be centralized and accessible.
We offer the following services for children with special needs:
Weekly 1-1 therapy sessions, including occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech and feeding therapy using the most up-to-date equipment and technology
A five-day winter retreat with professional therapists and fun activities like aqua therapy equine therapy and sledding
Summer camp for mothers and children with our staff of therapists and activities that include swimming, on-site petting zoo and animal therapy, music therapy and special calming sensory room
Monthly Jewish-themed activities for parents and children together, including baking, crafts, music and movement
An integration program to help higher functioning children integrate into society by providing opportunities for them to attend activities at our day school and synagogue, and by pairing them with volunteers to model basic social and life skills
We offer the following services for parents of children with special needs:
An after-care center where caregivers can drop off their children to enjoy fun activities, while they enjoy some much-needed respite
